Before filing an appeal
Read the Notice of Valuation carefully and verify the property record first. Then review comparable sales and other market evidence that relates to the same valuation period.
Evidence that may be useful
Useful supporting material can include clearly identified comparable sales, documentation of incorrect property characteristics, evidence of condition issues not reflected in the record, and other factual information relevant to market value.
Important: Official filing dates, procedures, and submission requirements can change. Confirm current deadlines directly with the Boulder County Assessor's Office before submitting an appeal.
Organize your submission
Explain why the current value should be reviewed, identify the evidence you are relying on, and make it easy for the reviewer to understand how the evidence relates to your property.
